Ikat has been enjoying something of a revival - seen everywhere from cushions to the catwalk.
Our silk and cotton ikat is spun on narrow handlooms in Uzbekistan. The process involves tying and dying the thread. The unique patterns emerge as the fabric is woven.
The vibrant colours and designs produce a decorative accent light which makes a bold statement.
Please note: As a natural fabric, fading & deterioration can be expected over time, especially if the shade is positioned close to sunlight.
Some darker flecks may be present throughout the ikat weave. This is a natural, raw material and certain areas can not take on the dye. This is not a product defect but an inherent part of their hand made nature.
