Block-Printed Cotton Lamp Shades

 

The Indian tradition of block-printing is a highly skilled craft. Patterns are chiselled onto pieces of wood and ink is applied.    

The block is then hand-stamped in continuation on fine cotton voile, with separate colours overlaid until the entire fabric is covered.  

Our range of woodblock designs are the perfect compliment to our blue & white bases, adding a fresh, unexpected addition of pattern & colour. 

Please note: As a natural fabric, fading & deterioration can be expected over time, especially if the shade is positioned close to sunlight.
