This beautiful hand-finished piece features a traditional design called 'Double Happiness'.

'Xi' represents happiness or joy & also love and luck. When this character is doubled - only used as an ornamental design motif - it comes to symbolise the coming together of two people, fitting neatly with the Chinese belief that happiness comes in pairs.

This is a popular ginger jar design, traditionally given as a wedding gift to represent a happy marriage.

The jar can be mixed & matched with other vases & jars of varying shapes, sizes & heights. 

Use as a unique decorative item, or remove the lid & add fresh or dried flowers as an attractive vase.

Add to either end of a mantle piece or console, or as part of a pretty chinoiserie vignette on a coffee table or dining table centre piece.
