Block-Printed Lamp Shades

The art of block printing is a testament to timeless craftsmanship. Each wooden block is meticulously hand-carved by skilled artisans, often taking days to complete. 

These blocks feature intricate patterns, ranging from delicate florals to bold geometric designs, ensuring each one is a work of art. 

Once carved, the blocks are dipped in vibrant, natural dyes & carefully pressed onto the fabric by hand, repeating the pattern with precision & care.

Our shades are made from fine cotton voile, with separate colours overlaid until the entire fabric is covered.  

This process requires patience & expertise, as the alignment of each print must be flawless. The result is a beautifully textured, uniquely handcrafted fabric.

Our range of block-printed designs are the perfect compliment to our blue & white bases, adding a fresh, unexpected addition of pattern & colour. 

Please note: As a natural fabric, fading & deterioration can be expected over time, especially if the shade is positioned close to sunlight.
